I don't honestly know where the time goes. The days come and go so quickly and before you know it another month has come and gone! Okay maybe 3 or 4 months! Life is good and busy. Last month Liss, Brynlee and I were lucky and got to go and spend time with Steph when she had her surgery and when she was going through some personal things. It was so good to be there with her and to lend her support during her hard times. The only problem was that it was too short! I wish I could have stayed so much longer. Liss and Brynlee got to stay longer and then dad flew in to lend a helping hand when I left. It was so fun for Steph and Liss to be able to spend time together and for Bryn to get to know her Aunt Steph more. It only took the first night of Bryn being a little unsure and then her little face lit up every time she saw Steph. Everyone we met while in AZ were sooooo nice and kind. The people at the hospital were so kind and sweet and absolutely fussed and loved Bryn for the hours we spent there!
When Liss got back from Mesa we had to get ready for Katie and Skyler's wedding. Liss was asked to get the ceremony procession ready to go and make sure it went smoothly and then she was asked to be in charge of the kitchen and making everything look just right for the guests in the food department. It was a good day, long but good. Brynlee sat on the counter in her bumbo and watched everyone scurry around. Katie and Skyler were pleased and Katie's parents were grateful they did not have to worry a moment about things, so it was well worth the time and effort! Congrats to Katie and Skyler :)
On Liss' blog you can see the float that the ward built for the 4th of July parade with Andrew and Melissa's help. Liss told them that if they took first place that she would throw them a party and the float won overall best entry. The party was tonight and sooooo many kids came, probably most of the YM/YW and their leaders. Of course Liss out did herself and decorated it all cute and everyone seemed to have fun. Dad cooked the burgers and Liss and Drew did the rest, I would say it was a smashing success. So, if you haven't seen the float, log on to Liss and Drew's blog, you will be amazed at how great it looks. We had a fun 4th, first the parade for a few minutes then out to a late breakfast/early lunch, then just getting dinner ready and dinner with grandma and grandpa, Liss, Drew and Brynlee. After dinner we had some neighborhood people come over for treats and a few fireworks and then we watched the fireworks at Davis from our house. It was pretty low key and laid back! It was great.
For all of you going to Hawaii, it is less that 12 weeks away now! We are all so looking forward to the time on the beach just relaxing and enjoying each other. Such great memories will be made. Family time together is the best! We can't wait!
